On July 2nd I attended the 66th annual Judged Art Exhibit at Trails End Art Association. I was so surprised and proud to accept the ribbon for second place in the Mixed Media category. This was the second time I had entered a judged event. The first being at the Grace Episcopal Church in Astoria.
Being part of the Astoria Art Loft has inspired me to blaze new trails with my art. I am experimenting with different surfaces and different mediums. If you ever wonder over to Astoria please stop by the Astoria Art Loft and say hello. I’m at my studio there nearly every day.
EVERYONE IS INVITED!
You have probably seen the signs around town for the annual Artists Studio Tour. July 30-31. I with eight other artists will be at the Astoria Art Loft demonstrating our creative processes. I will of course demonstrate Zentangle for anyone and everyone who stops by. The hours are 10;00 to 4;00. Astoria Art Loft is in the old Meads Upholstery building, upstairs above Dots and Doodles art store. 106 3rd St. This is my first time doing the studio tour and I will be doing Zentangle demonstrations and also selling my original pieces of art.
